Membrane technology has failed in the past to address waste streams of high fat, oil and grease (FOG) environments.

Project goal:

To test the application of Hydroxsys’ new membrane technology in a high FOG environment

Results:

• 99% TSS reduction

• 94% FOG reduction

• 92% COD reduction

• 85% water recovery

• The waste system was recoverable with high pH cleaning cycles despite high FOG content
